Modi raps Congress government for political violence in Karnataka

PM Modi lashed out ruling party in poll-bound state Karnataka and said that from the time of Indira Gandhi, congress party has only fooled poor people of the society to win elections.

Modi, while addressing poll rallies in Karnataka, said that Congress is a party that has disrespected the armed forces. Shah is expected to boost the morale of party workers who are upset by the Party High Command that at the last moment denied Varuna ticket to BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa's son B.Y. Vijayendra.

Referring to the recent attack on the Karnataka Lokayukta in Bengaluru and a senior police officer's letter to the Chief Secretary on working conditions, the BJP leader said intolerance, violence, and rapes were the identities of the Congress. "After losing the Karnataka elections, the Congress will become PPP Congress - Punjab, Puducherry and Parivar Congress", he added. "If Karnataka goes, what will happen to the leaders in Delhi", said the Prime Minister.

He exuded confidence that the Congress party would retain power in Karnataka by capturing as many as 135 seats.

He also said that the Congress never tried to solve the water problem in Tumakuru.

The PM also mocked Congress leaders for claiming to be pro-farmer. But in no time Modi disowned JD (S) asking people not to waste their votes, even as Gowda emphasised that personal regard did not mitigate his political differences with Modi.

Rahul Gandhi's tweet is part of the Congress strategy to build its offensive against the BJP around the Reddy brothers.

He said the Congress was spreading "lies" by accusing the BJP of being anti-Dalit, anti-Muslim and anti-women.
