OnePlus 6 will debut on 16 May in London

The highly anticipated OnePlus 6 smartphone is coming soon as the firm has announced the date and location for the big launch event. Now we're waiting for the OnePlus 6, the seventh iteration of the flagship phone from OnePlus. The event starts at 10 AM CST (7:30 AM IST) and will be open to the public as well as OnePlus fans, but they need to pay a fee of CNY 99 (around Rs.1,000) to attend the launch event. Of course, they also get access to the event, as well as the OnePlus party afterwards and a mystery gift when they buy the OnePlus 6. As with the OnePlus 5T launch event, the value of the swag bag collected at the launch event far exceeds the price of the ticket.

"Over the past four years, OnePlus has been built and shaped around its community". The OnePlus 6 will probably continue that trend, as the OEM remodels itself into a purveyor of genuine high-end devices.

The availability schedule of the OnePlus 6 may have also been leaked.

After a rumor earlier this week said the phone might hit stores on May 18th, a new report claims that May 21st is more like it. And one of the readers of gsmarena enrolled in the OnePlus LAB program following which OnePlus sent an email with all the details, terms & conditions of the program. According to NDTV Gadgets, submissions will remain open until 10pm ET on May 2. The OnePlus 6 launch notification page is already live on the Amazon India website.

Probably the biggest letdown about the S10 though, is that the phone will likely look the exact same as the S9 and even the S8. Running Android 7.1.1 Nougat with TouchWiz UX on top, the smartphone is expected to receive the Android Oreo update soon.

OnePlus will also be launching a special edition Avengers Infinity War edition.

For the unknown, last year, when the OnePlus 5 was about to get launched, the OnePlus 3, as well as OnePlus 3T, went out of stock before the launch of their successor, in different parts of the world.

The OnePlus 6 is expected to be the company's most expensive flagship to date as it is expected to be priced starting at around Rs 35,000. Pete in a post on OnePlus Forums confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will come with glass back. His blogpost also states that the glass back of OnePlus 6 contains five printed layers of Nanotech Coating, a first in the smartphone industry.
