Amit Shah's speech at the BJP's birthday bash clearly points to the strategy the ruling combine is working on to beat anti-incumbency, and the most ironic part of it is that it's the Opposition which has handed it to them on a platter.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Friday slammed the opposition's plan of forming a new front fight against BJP in next Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

"The coming days are important, attempts are being made to spread misinformation about our party among Dalits, tribals, OBCs".

Amid talk of opposition parties trying to cobble up support against the Modi government, the BJP president likened the political entities to snakes, dogs, cats and mongooses, trying to jump on to a single tree to save themselves from the flood.

The rally led to several traffic snarls on the Western Express Highway. Besides Shah, Union ministers hailing from Maharashtra and other BJP leaders will address the congregation to be held at 11:30 AM, state unit president Raosaheb Danve said while addressing a press conference today.
