Rams sign bad-boy Suh from Dolphins in coup for defense

Former Dolphins' DT Ndamukong Suh reached agreement with Los Angeles Rams on a one-year, $14 million deal, per source.

Keep an eye on these Rams, folks. Los Angeles already got some help in the secondary this offseason, too, trading for cornerback Marcus Peters, another immensely gifted player whose career has been beset by character concerns.

The Pro Bowl defensive tackle and former No. 2 overall pick of the Lions is joining the Rams on a one-year, $14 million contract, ESPN reported. At the moment, the defensive end is one of the most sought-after free agents in the NFL.

"It became apparent to the two of us that this just didn't work", Johnson said.

Suh was released by the Dolphins this month after three seasons in Miami.

Suh was released by the Miami Dolphins on March 15, midway through a six-year, $114 million contract he signed with the team.

Trump's Top Lawyer in Russia Probe Resigns
Dowd had taken over the lead lawyer role last summer from NY attorney Marc Kasowitz, who has always been by Trump's side. This stance puts them at odds with Trump , although Trump has been quick to dismiss reports of conflict.

"The Jets had the largest offer on the table, giving them a significant advantage before owner Christopher Johnson pulled the bid".

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network noted the Jets were at least one team to offer more. "It doesn't hurt at all that we have an bad lot of money that we might have been sending out the door to one player now back with us".

Suh, who was recently released by the Miami Dolphins, will join a Rams team that not only won the NFC West past year, but has upgraded their defense dramatically by adding guys like Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters this offseason. Somewhere L.A. defensive coordinator Wade Phillips just rubbed his hands together like an evil genius in a James Bond movie.

The 31-year-old experienced a notable drop in his production last season, but he is still considered to be a premier defensive lineman who has earned five Pro Bowl selections, four First-Team All-Pro nods, and two Second-Team All-Pro selections.

If Suh remains healthy in 2018, he figures to be a critical piece in the Rams' push to the playoffs after they won the NFC West past year.
