Superhero film 'Black Panther' becomes most tweeted about movie of all time


The social media network confirmed that Black Panther was tweeted about more than 35 million times. As other films have come and gone in theaters, Black Panther has proven that it has plenty of staying power, even as promotion for Avengers: Infinity War (featuring a team-up of dozens of Marvel heroes) gears up. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now down to third. So far the film has made more than $1.1 billion worldwide.

The 2018 blockbuster film "Black Panther" has broken yet another record - and no, it's not a box office record, but a Twitter record - the most tweeted about movie to date. Rapper Kendrick Lamar and Michelle Obama were pivotal supporters in spreading the message on Twitter.

"Black Panther" continues to be a major topic of conversation. Lamar shared a copy of the list of songs in the Black Panther album on January 31.
