Missouri Officer Killed Responding to 911 Call Was Sent to Wrong House


Lowe says officers went inside in an attempt to apprehend the suspect who then fatally shot one officer and wounded the others.

"I am at a loss for words right now", Brittany Seabaugh stated.

Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Collin Stosberg says the cause of the suspect's death is under investigation.

UPDATE 12:31 a.m.: The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A confirms the suspect involved in the officer involved shooting was located deceased inside of the residence.

Lowe said that the Clinton County 911 call center received an emergency call at around 9:20 p.m. and over the phone, two women were appeared very scared and were screaming in the background. On Wednesday afternoon, authorities said a woman inside that home had been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intention to distribute. After midnight, officers raided the home and found the suspect dead. Clinton is about 75-miles outside of Kansas City.

The shooter remained inside the home while a SWAT Team formed a plan to enter. The officers reportedly confirmed with dispatch that they were in the correct location and proceeded to enter the home to further investigate the situation. But the fact is they were in the act of committing crimes within that house.
