Xiaomi May Launches MI TV on Valentine's Day


The Mi TV 4 also hooks into OTT service providers like Hotstar, Voot, Sony LIV, Hungama Play, and ALTBalaji, and while Prime Video isn't available just yet, Xiaomi says that the streaming service should be live on the platform in a few weeks' time.

The highly anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones have been officially launched in India. In India, the Mi TV 4 will be sold in only one variant (55-inch) and will be exclusively available on Flipkart. "It sports a 5.99" FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels ) 18:9 display with 2.5D curved glass on top, it offers 450-nit maximum brightness, 1500:1 colour contrast ratio.

The 32 GB and 64 GB Redmi Note 5 are respectively priced at Rs. 9,999 (~$155) and Rs. 11,999 (~$187).

Specifications The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a dual rear camera setup. The phone features 12-megapixel primary lens with 1.25-micron pixel and f/2.2 aperture along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with 1.12-micron pixel and f/2.0 aperture. The Redmi Note 5 is backed by a 4000mah battery and it runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. It will be available in gold, black, lake blue and rose gold body shades.

The company's pulling out all the stops for its maiden TV venture in India, equipping the device with a almost borderless 4K HDR display, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, a quad-core 1.8GHz Amlogic T968 processor, and Dolby + DTS-HD audio quality. It measures 158.6 x 75.4 and weighs 181 grams.
