The game got a great DLC called A Walk In The Park that brought more good times, but now the publisher and developer have revealed that The Surge 2 is on the way.
The Surge 2, a follow-up to 2017's Dark Souls-inspired action-RPG, is now in development for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, Focus Home Entertainment has announced. Additional weapons, limb targets, abilities, implants and drones are just some of the features and gameplay elements that will be expanded upon for The Surge 2.
The Surge 2 plans to keep numerous original features that players enjoyed the most, with hardcore combat, dynamic limb targeting and deep character progression all set to return, but this time the great formula that makes the game what it is, is set to be expanded on further still.

Aside from the above screenshot very little is known about the upcoming game, which is expected given that the game is a year to two years out from release. The two have teamed up again to announce The Surge 2. Expect changes that might expand the mechanics for combat and progression to new heights. A brand new environment will be on offer as the story will take place in a "devastated city with larger and more ambitious level design" thanks to the developer's upgraded and improved engine. As is the case with most sequels, Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive promised more of what they delivered with the original. In addition, it will present new enemies and bosses.
The Surge is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
