Assassins Creed Rogue Remastered Coming On March With Bonus Content

The Remastered version will include 4K support for XBox One X and PlayStation Pro as well as 1080p for PlayStation 4 and XBox one. Assassin's Creed Rogue marked the series final entry on the last generation of consoles.

Ubisoft has announced that a free update will be rolled out alongside the expansion that will add new bits and pieces from the Nightmare, First Civilization, Gladiator and Wacky packs to the Heka chests item pool.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue Remastered features higher-resolution textures and shadows, improved environmental rendering, and new visual effects, according to Ubisoft.

Either way, the remastered version of Assassin's Creed Rogue will be coming out on March 20, around the same time as the upcoming remaster of Dark Souls for current-gen consoles. The series has only ever shown the Assassin side of the conflict so getting to play as the "bad guy" was certainly a nice change of pace.

As Shay, you will experience the slow transformation from Assassin to Assassin hunter.

Starring Shay Patrick Cormac, players explore the icy North Atlantic, the bustling streets of New York City and a river valley.

18th century, North America. After a risky mission gone tragically wrong, Shay turns his back on the Assassins who, in response, attempt to end his life. "Players' journeys will take them from lovely New York City to the Wild River Valley and icy cold waters of the North Atlantic". Cast aside by those he once called brothers, Shay sets out on a mission to wipe out all who turned against him and ultimately become the most feared Assassin hunter in history. Otherwise, players are advised to wait for official price listings and announcements. If you've been wanting to return to Black Flag and Assassin's Creed 3's sailing system, however, Rogue might be the game for you. If you were excited to hear that information, you will be happy to know that Ubisoft confirmed that it is real.
