Roland suffered memory loss as a result of her reaction to the medication and she was continuing to be evaluated at a hospital, police said at a news conference.

A missing Texas sports journalist - who messaged a companion that a flawed man took after her home - was discovered safe Monday morning, police said.

Her white Jeep was found overnight in a parking garage close to the shopping center, police said.

No word on what happened during the hours she was missing.

Roland's mother told KPRC she received a text from her daughter's phone, saying, "hello the owner of this phone Courtney".

According to one post, she left the camp in an Uber and returned home, before later leaving again to go to Walgreens, a U.S. supermarket.

Officers found Courtney Roland, 29, near the Houston Galleria mall.

The roommate said she was supposed to meet up with Roland but never heard from her again. Her Jeep was found with her phone and other personal items inside. The address where she was found was not provided by police.

Her roommate told the station that Roland had texted her at around 12.30am on Sunday about a "suspicious man" she saw in Walgreens.

Police said Roland did not appear to know that anyone was looking for her.

Police said that they do not suspect any foul play, and have no reason to believe any crimes were committed.

Officers said Roland was last seen walking alone in a store at the mall around 5:40 p.m. Sunday.

Gov. Greg Abbott on Sunday retweeted a plea to help find Roland with the hashtag #HelpFindCourtney. "I am buying an iPad", according to Click 2 Houston.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Houston police department at 832-394-1840. She was found under an overpass at the Interstate 610 West Loop at Richmond, police said.
