Congress MLA Asha Kumari slapped a woman constable in Shimla on Friday after she was denied entry to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's review meeting. "The lady constable misbehaved with me, abused me and nearly beat me up, but I should not have lost my calm".
However, the constable has filed a complaint against the MLA.
Blaming the PCC for mismanagement at the party's office gate, Kumari added, "I can only blame myself for the unsavoury incident".
After being slapped, the police constable retaliated and slapped the MLA Asha Kumari back. Such a rare instance was seen today in Shimla where Congress MLA Asha Kumari thought it normal to slap a woman police constable. She, ANI reported, was trying to gain entry to a meeting being held by Congress president Rahul Gandhi to review the grand old party's recent Himachal Pradesh election loss. "I am not happy at it". However, she said the constable pushed her and abused her. No one has a right to raise the hand against someone, at least not the Congress culture.

Unemployment rates have dropped to record lows in five states, including the "yellow hammer" state of Alabama. During the past year, the largest absolute gains were in Texas, where the number of jobs climbed 330,600.
The meeting is being held at the Rajiv Bhawan, the party's headquarters in Shimla.
The matter was highlighted after the woman constable slapped Kumari back in a fit of rage.
An All India Congress Committee's (AICC) secretary, Kumari is a member of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Dalhousie.
He will address a meet of party workers later in the day. The party managed to bag just 21 seats out of 68, while the BJP won 44 seats.
