During a keenly fought encounter at Old Trafford, Lukaku appeared to kick out at Brighton's Cameroonian defender Gaetan Bong.

The £75million forward will not face any retrospective action for the incident during United's 1-0 win.

The incident was not included in referee Neil Swarbrick's match report and, after reviewing video footage, an FA panel failed to come to a unanimous verdict, meaning the 24-year-old will not be charged.

There is no pressure on Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku to rediscover his goalscoring form as the Belgian's relentless work rate makes up for it, club manager Jose Mourinho has said.

Lukaku could get a three-match domestic ban for violent conduct, which would rule him out of the home derby against Manchester City on 10 December.
