And while those other wee ones will eventually grow out of their onesies, Eclipse gets to rock her special celestial-themed souvenir for life.

There had been a lot of attention about the solar eclipse that took place on Monday, August 21, 2017 when most Americans looked up at the sky to see the moon and the sun come into ideal alignment. "Probably we affectionately will call her Klipsi" - said the girl's mother.

A couple in SC have named their baby girl Eclipse in honor of the awesome astronomical event that took place on the day she was born.

At the last minute, both Freedom and Michael Eubanks chose to mark the event with a special first name. The baby girl was not due until September 3.

Iran could restart nuclear programme
New sanctions approved by Congress this month penalized Iran for its ballistic missile program and other activities in the region.

A baby born at Greenville Memorial Hospital to parents Freedom and Michael Eubanks was named Eclipse Alizebeth in honor of the special day.

However, because this was the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse in almost a century, they figured the name should be just as rare and meaningful.

But the couple changed their mind after Freedom went into labor nearly two weeks early and gave birth at Greenville Memorial Hospital at 8:04 a.m. Monday.
