Chelsea's Pedro returns to London after suffering concussion

Willian put Chelsea up with the first goal of the game as Michy Batshuayi netted a double leaving Arsenal with nothing as they lost 3-0 to the boys in blue.

Chelsea's fullbacks were playing only one game per week last season and it's going to be very hard for them to play high intensity football twice or three times a week when competing in the Champions League.

The 28-year-old was left out of the Chelsea squad for the pre-season tour of Asia, starting with a game against Arsenal in Beijing on Saturday.

"In the second part of last season, Cesc played a lot of games and he was an important player for us to reach our target of winning the league and also to reach the final of the FA Cup. It's a physical and very strong league".

"I repeat, now it's right to start to work together and it's very important to know that there is a lot of work to do".

It was an unstoppable, bending drive from the former Marseille man, who may nonetheless end up playing understudy to Chelsea's new record signing Alvaro Morata.

"The 20-year-old was expected to join Ajax from Fluminense for £12 million and had provisionally agreed a five-year contract but the Premier League champions have stepped in to try and tempt him to England", noted Jones.

Credit Suisse is advising McCormick on the deal, while Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP is the legal counsel. The FTSE 100 gained 0.1 percent, with household goods and food sectors boosting the index while miners weighed.

Blues boss Antonio Conte worked with the Inter Milan winger while he was in charge of the Italy national team and is said to be considering a move for his signature.

'He has a lot of potential to improve, the same as Michy Batshuayi.

In midfield, we might see the French duo of N'Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko partnering each other in centre midfield, while Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso are set to keep their wing-back roles from last season. At 23, he may well become a very good Premier League striker in the future.

"And I can't think of another African in a similar position in Europe", the two-time African Player of the Year added.

He told chelseafc.com: "Pedro went to the hospital and for sure he should be okay but I think he had concussion".

"I'm a Chelsea player, but they do not want me there", he said. "In that period he was very young but now, with experience at Juventus and Real Madrid, he is ready to come to Chelsea and to play for us".
