US House may be near deal on stalled Russian Federation sanctions bill

Trump and several top administration officials, including his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, have hired personal counsel to represent them as the Russian Federation inquiry moves through the US Justice Department and congressional committees.

Democrats say they're concerned the stalling tactics could allow the Trump administration to return two Russian compounds in NY and Maryland that the Obama administration seized in December.

Her remarks were part of a news conference in which Democrats from various House committees detailed steps aimed at pressuring House Republicans to investigate Trump more aggressively. But in the wake of that report, Trump Jr.'s statements regarding the meeting changed.

Ongoing revelations about Trump's relations with Russian Federation is said to be the reason for moving the bill forward. The fund is normally used to cover party-related expenses like election recounts.

House Democrats have been objecting to sending the bill back to the Senate by unanimous consent and GOP leaders have been hesitant to call it up for a vote, because blue slip issues have typically been addressed in a bipartisan fashion.

"House Democrats are not going to let the Republicans off the hook for their complicity in this", Pelosi said.

"We have to get all the information we can find about [President Trump] and his business relationships", Waters said in a recent interview with TheStreet.

Besides his attendance at the meeting, Kushner has also faced scrutiny for not initially disclosing his foreign contacts when seeking a security clearance. Wasserman Schultz is the former Democratic National Committee chairwoman.

The department has acknowledged that Sessions omitted from his form meetings he had with foreign dignitaries, including the Russian ambassador.

He said he was "going a little bit easier" on China regarding trade, because he hoped to get President Xi Jinping to put pressure on North Korea, but added that "the worst of all trade deals" the U.S. has is with China, followed by "a bad deal " with South Korea, losing $40 billion every year.
