Sara Ali Khan is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Kedarnath.' It was learnt that Sara was persuaded by many filmmakers including Karan Johar and Salman Khan, but she chose Abhishek to work with.

Viacom18 COO Raj Nayak said, "No longer will the Colors viewers have to wait to satiate their anticipation as this time they will get to see all the action unfold in actual time and in all its splendor across 140 countries". Saif Ali Khan even mentioned how she had studied at Columbia University in NY.

In April 2016, when Sara was still at Columbia, Saif told NDTV that she had his "blessing to do whatever she wants".

Speaking about the way he felt after hearing about Sara's debut, Saif said "A little nervous". We talk constantly and she discusses whatever she wants to and I give her my advice. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. He says that a career wth constant fear is not something any parent would want for their child. When asked whether he was involved in decision making over Sara's debut film, Saif said, "No, I wasn't involved in it. Look, I am there if she needs to ask or talk to me about anything". "I remember years ago we'd gone for a stage show overseas and while I was on the stage with Salman and other actors, Sara was standing behind the stage curtain and looking at us".
