Trump has unscheduled meeting with Kissinger

They aren't doing this to score ideological points but to solve real problems.

His post was re-posted by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. Later in the day, the Russian Foreign Ministry and TASS published photos from the meeting, while the USA side released no official images, something that was later decried by the United States media.

He said former acting Attorney General Sally Yates also left him with the impression that it wasn't necessary to fire Flynn immediately, after he reportedly misled Vice President Mike Pence on his interactions with Russian representatives.

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made the announcement after meeting with Trump in Washington Wednesday, according to Tass.

As a result, White House officials said they were surprised to see photos posted online showing Trump not only with Lavrov but also smiling and shaking hands with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

There is nothing inherently wrong with Trump's inclusion of Kislyak in Wednesday's meeting, but to be weirdly secretive about it is to invite additional scrutiny that the White House does not need right now. But any exceptions will need to be approved by top supervisors, and the reasons must be documented, allowing the Justice Department to track the handling of such cases by its 94 USA attorney's offices. Later, however, they said that Trump had planned to fire Comey regardless.

Durant scores 38 points, Warriors beat Jazz to take 3-0 lead
Durant did exactly what the Warriors expected him to do when they inked him to a two-year, $54 million deal last summer. It didn't last long, but they regained the lead before the half on a couple of Gobert free throws and led 50-49.

Officials dismissed any security concerns, saying that Lavrov's entourage went through the typical visitor screening process and that the White House is routinely swept for listening devices. And then there's the matter of the Russian news photographer in the Oval Office.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov joked on May 10 about President Donald Trump firing FBI Director James Comey on May 9 (video below).

Privately though White House officials seethed at what they described as a breach of trust. He said on all three occasions, Comey said he was not the subject of the investigation. The Russian Foreign Ministry posted a photo of a smiling US President shaking hands with Lavrov on Twitter, adding unusual and ironic optics to the questions already swirling around the White House over Comey's firing. As the pair posed for photographs, Lavrov sarcastically acknowledged the abrupt dismissal of Comey.

The president tweeted, "Again, the story that there was collusion between the Russians & Trump campaign was fabricated by Dems as an excuse for losing the election".

He's a showboat, he's a grandstander.Regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey. And in fact when I chose to just do it I said to myself, I said, "You know, this Russian Federation thing with Trump and Russian Federation is a made-up story, it's an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should've won".
