Honda Cars India (HCIL), on Thursday launched its new model, WR-V, price starting at ₹7.75 lakh.

The WR-V seems to be very much similar to Honda Jazz in terms of design, but the company designers have worked really hard to ensure that similarities with Jazz should not be evident.

The WR-V comes with a 5-speed manual transmission petrol engine and 6-speed manual transmission diesel engine. One of the major highlights of the new crossover is the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Honda WR-V SUV consists of platform having majority of specification and ideas of Honda Jazz. The most fuel efficient engines! The model will compete with the likes for Ford's EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza. The petrol variants produce 89 hp of power and 110 Nm of torque, while the diesel trims generate 98 hp of power and 200 Nm of torque.

The new auto sports a 1,200cc petrol and 1,500cc Diesel engine and the auto will be positioned under the company's BR-V multi-purpose vehicle.

Keeping its safety quotient high, Honda has standardised dual airbags along with options such as ABS with EBD across all the four variants. The base diesel S MT variant gets a pricing of INR 8.79 lakh while the top spec diesel model VX loaded with segment best features is priced at INR 9.99 lakh (All prices ex-showroom Delhi).
