Jon Favreau to helm 'The Big Bang Theory' spin-off

Previously CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves had said that the show will likely air behind "The Big Bang Theory" next season. Jon Favreau will direct the first episode of the new series.

"The Big Bang Theory", TV's most-watched sitcom, is done in the multi-camera style in front of a studio audience.

Considering that Armitage would be headlining Young Sheldon, however, the adorable actor has some pretty big shoes to fill. Hopefully Young Sheldon gets back to the show's roots.

Jim will also act as an executive producer on "Young Sheldon", with child actor Iain Armitage nabbing the lead role.

Young Sheldon hails from Big Bang Theory creator Lorre and showrunner Molaro.

The biggest shock of all comes with the choice of actor to play Sheldon in his younger years. Only this time, it will be the sometimes-too-smart-for-his-own-good Sheldon Cooper retelling the story of his adolescent life. After all, although the Big Bang Theory has not really been receiving the unanimous critical acclaim that it enjoyed during its peak, it remains as one of the most formidable comedies on television.

TSA Implementing New Pat-Down Procedures Across The Nation
Passengers have the right to request a private pat-down screening and ask to be accompanied by a companion of their choice. In the past, TSA employees had some leeway in what type of physical search they used on a passenger.

Emmy victor Jim Parsons will narrate as Adult Sheldon and serve as an executive producer. CBS are claiming Young Sheldon will operate in a similar vein to Malcolm in the Middle; also about a boy genius amidst a ragtag family.

As a result, "The Big Bang Theory" is a money fountain, for the moment anyway.

New additional cast members have been added to the half-hour series.

The original Big Bang has run for nine seasons, consistently bringing in huge audience shares for CBS since season three, entering syndicated on TBS, and performing well around the world.

There is no word yet on when the show will premiere or how many episodes the first season will contain.
