Eagles' Nigel Bradham arrested on weapons charge at Miami airport

According to a TMZ report, Bradham was arrested this past weekend at Miami International airport after the x-ray machine at security revealed his backpack had a loaded gun in it.

Bradham was reportedly arrested on a second degree concealed weapons charge and released from custody later on bond.

Reports of the arrest in July allege that Bradham assaulted an employee at the Hilton Bentley South Beach.

The Eagles issued the boilerplate "arrested player" statement - they are aware of the mater, have been in contact with authorities and with Bradham, and "as it is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time".

When the loaded firearm was brought to his attention, Bradham claimed that he forgot it was in his bag, and produced his concealed weapons permit.

Fortunately for Bradham, TMZ quoted officials saying "it was clear that there was no criminal intent on his part". Bradham is having a strong season for the Eagles, as he has totaled 10 tackles and an interception in three games. He was later released on $500 bond, according to court records.

This is Bradham's second arrest in just a few months.

The Eagles' defense ranked first in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play prior to entering Week 4. He told reporters Monday that he has a hearing related to that alleged incident this week.
