Odell Beckham almost hurts himself by taking swing at kicking net

In the fourth quarter of a wild Giants-Redskins game, center Weston Richburg laid out Norman at the end of an Odell Beckham catch that set the offense up inside the 10-yard line.

But two plays, 32 seconds later, 75 yards and two catches by DeSean Jackson later, the Redskins cut the lead to 21-16 on a 44-yard touchdown pass by Cousins to the famed Giants killer. Not only was the rule thought up in light of the all-out brawl between Beckham and Norman a year ago at MetLife Stadium, but Giants owner John Mara was one of its champions.

In the end, Washington made the big plays in avoiding the 0-3 start.

The Giants had 118 yards in penalties, including a third-down hit to the helmet by Olivier Vernon that kept the Redskins' game-winning drive alive.

India 52/1 at tea on Day Three vs NZ
To pull things back after its rapid collapse, New Zealand needed to make early inroads into the Indian batting line-up. Santner wasn't always reading the ball well, but was stout-hearted and willing to stick through the tough periods.

In the defeat, the Giants banged-up secondary suffered more losses, with first-round pick Eli Apple leaving in the first half with a hamstring injury and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie later suffering a groin injury.

YOU'RE OUT: Richburg was ejected early in the fourth quarter for picking up two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

It looks like Norman and OBJ are picking up right where they left off.

Late in the first half, Beckham beat Norman to the inside and then evaded the tackle with a move toward the sideline for a few extra yards and a gain of 18. Norman had picked up a personal foul for a hit on Shepard.
