ACB registers case against Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal

"It is why an FIR was filed against me. I am a follower of Lakshmi Bai and Subhash Chandra Bose.I am not going to be scared", she added. "From the past one year, we can see that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ministers and Aam Aadmi Party MLAs are continuously violating the law and if an FIR has been lodged then surely the police might have investigated the matter", Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay told ANI.

"If somebody can prove corruption of a single rupee in my life, I will stop living".

Maliwal reacted sharply after the case was registered in a series of tweets.

A team comprising five ACB officers reached the DCW office at 11 am on Monday.

She listed in her complaint the names of 85 people as those who had allegedly got jobs without requisite credentials. She was also asked to submit responses to about 27 questions within a week. We have been asked how we did so many appointments to the women's panel. "Have questioned the system". She also said that the probe is an attempt to "silence" the panel that has been raising a lot of questions and will not act as "deterrant" for the panel and her.

"In the past one year, we have handled 11,500 cases and attended 2.25 lakh calls". In the past eight years, the former chairperson managed only one case. Whenever there is a rape case, DCW asks questions. Jain said that police are used by various governments to harass people. "We will cooperate with the investigation", Maliwal said.

Israeli settlements have grown during the Obama years
The ten-year US-Israel defense agreement consists of $33 billion in foreign military financing and $5 billion in missile defense. The two are linked, he said, because Israel was made less safe by the United States nuclear deal with Iran.

Maliwal was questioned by the officials over alleged illegalities.

In her complaint, Singh had claimed that several AAP supporters were given plum posts in the women's panel.

"We followed the due process for appointing members to the panel".

Maliwal counter-attacked the former DCW chief, saying that Singh had appointed "wives of IAS and IPS officers without giving an advertisement for recruitment". She further stated that the charges are baseless as all members have been appointed following due procedures and documents for the same will be given to the ACB.

The guests for the occasion were Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia, Delhi's Health Minister Satyendar Jain, and Minister of Water and Tourism Kapil Mishra.
