Guam - Public Law 30 - 21, is a law that prevents the sale of public land without the legislatures approval.  That law was based on a veto override that included a deciding vote by former Senator Matt Rector.  The question now is: if Rector never qualified to become a senator based on his prior conviction, what now becomes of the law that needed his vote to pass?
Senator Judy Guthertz believes anything that was done on the legislative floor will stand.
Guthertz says, "Everything that was done on the legislative floor was done properly as far as I am concerned and I am assured that my
colleagues will agree with me.  And there is no need for questions or changing anything because it was approved by the
legislature as a body."
According to Speaker Judith Won Pat, any questions about the validity of a law would need to be challenged in court.
