GUAM - Makati's Renaissance Hotel will throb with investment fever this week as 150 business leaders from the Philippines are expected to participate in a three-day conference with a Gaum trade delegation. That according to the Phillipine online newspaper, the Business Mirror. The group, led by Guam Governor Felix Camacho, will tout Guam's close proximity to the Philippines, solid banking and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as the territory's U.S. rule of law as elements that make for a safe investment climate on the eve of an opportunity-rich military buildup that will boost the island's population to nearly a quarter of a million. According to the Business Mirror, a variety of experts will discuss lucrative Guam opportunities in the areas of technology, medical servcies, real estate and construction, agriculture, and captive insurance.
